Description

The MulteFire Alliance, operating worldwide, represents a unique approach to mobile network deployment. Utilizing the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 902 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 1, MulteFire harnesses unlicensed spectrum – primarily the 5 GHz band – to offer private LTE networks. This differs significantly from traditional mobile networks that rely on licensed spectrum allocated by national regulatory bodies. MulteFire provides businesses and organizations the ability to deploy their own cellular networks, independent of traditional mobile network operators. This can be particularly advantageous in areas with poor cellular coverage, or where guaranteed performance and control over network parameters are critical such as industrial automation, smart warehousing, and enhanced enterprise connectivity.

One key aspect of MulteFire is its reliance on LTE technology within the unlicensed spectrum. Instead of, say, similar services which may run on WiFi. This offers the benefits of existing cellular infrastructure, including robust security measures, predictable performance, and seamless handoffs between cells. Comparing this to standard cellular networks, which are often bound by network congestion and spectrum allocation limits, MulteFire offers more localized control and the potential for increased bandwidth availability tailored to specific use cases. The choice of MCC 902 designates a global, shared code for non-geographic specific networks like MulteFire, setting it apart from networks specific to individual countries.
