Description

ProRail B.V. operates as a mobile network within the Netherlands, Europe, identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 204 and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 21. While perhaps not as widely known as some consumer-facing mobile operators like KPN or Vodafone Netherlands, ProRail's network fulfills a specific and crucial role within the Dutch railway infrastructure. The MCC 204 clearly signifies its origin within the Netherlands’ telecommunications landscape, helping devices identify and connect to networks within the country. The MNC 21 then further identifies it uniquely.

It's important to remember that not all mobile networks are designed for everyday consumer use. ProRail's mobile network is likely focused on supporting communications critical for railway operations, such as train control, signaling, and internal communications among rail employees. This specialized use case explains its different footprint and purpose compared to broad public mobile networks. Its existence highlights the importance of dedicated mobile infrastructure for critical services across various industries within the Netherlands. Its network functionality may very well work very differently.
