Telenor Norge AS, commonly known as Telenor, stands as a leading mobile network operator in Norway. Operating under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 242, which identifies Norway, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 12, Telenor provides a broad range of telecommunications services to consumers and businesses across the country and being the first mobile network launched in Norway in 1966 and later launching the first public automated mobile phone system in 1981. As one of the dominant players in the Norwegian mobile market, Telenor competes with other networks such as Telia and Ice.net, and the network continues to invest heavily in its infrastructure, including expansion of its 5G network which promises faster speeds and lower latency for its subscribers throughout Norway which is located in Europe. Beyond mobile services, Telenor offers broadband, TV, and other digital solutions, playing a significant role in Norway's digital landscape. Telenor also has a large stake in other networks outside of Norway, including Thailand and Malaysia.
