Description

Gujarat Videocon Datacom, operating in India (Asia & Middle East), was a significant player in the region's telecom landscape. Identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 405 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 827, Videocon Datacom aimed to provide competitive mobile services, primarily focusing on the Gujarat region. While specific details about their subscriber base and network infrastructure remain somewhat limited in readily available public records, the allocation of MCC and MNC codes signifies their authorization to operate within the Indian telecom ecosystem, regulated by authorities like TRAI.

Compared to other major Indian mobile network operators like Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio, Gujarat Videocon Datacom occupied a smaller market share. However, its presence contributed to the diversity of mobile service options available to consumers in Gujarat. The MCC 405 range is used by all mobile network operators in India and the following MNC 827 distinguishes Videocon Datacom from others. While the company faced challenges and ultimately ceased operations due to competitive pressures, its history reflects the dynamic nature of the Indian telecommunications market and the continuous evolution of mobile connectivity within the Asia & Middle East region.
