Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) stands as one of the primary mobile network operators within Myanmar, a nation located in the Asia & Middle East region. Identified by its unique Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 414 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 00, MPT provides mobile communication services to a significant portion of the population. MPT, being one of the oldest and most established telecommunications companies in Myanmar, plays a crucial role in the country’s connectivity landscape. MPT offers a range of services including voice calls, SMS messaging, and mobile data services, encompassing 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE network technologies. As the telecommunications sector in Myanmar has opened up, MPT has faced increasing competition from other mobile operators such as Telenor (now rebranded as Atom), and Ooredoo. However, MPT retains a strong market presence, particularly in rural areas, due to its established infrastructure and wide coverage.
