Edatel S.A. ESP Edatel, operating in Colombia, South & Central America, is a key player in the nation's telecommunications landscape. Identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 732, which designates Colombia, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 002, Edatel provides mobile network services to a specific segment of the Colombian population. While Colombia boasts other major players like Claro, Movistar, and Tigo, Edatel distinguishes itself, potentially focusing on niche markets or specific geographic areas within the country. The network's infrastructure contributes to the overall connectivity of Colombia, which is a crucial aspect of the nation’s economic and social development, providing mobile internet, voice and SMS related communications.

Understanding that Edatel utilizes MCC 732 and MNC 002, helps subscribers, developers, and industry analysts correctly identify and configure devices and applications for the network. This information is crucial for ensuring seamless roaming agreements with other international providers, allowing Edatel customers to stay connected while travelling. It is also important for developers who are testing apps and applications, making sure they correctly function on this network, or for device manufacturers that need pre-configuration support. Its impact on rural areas or commitment to local specific solutions, may be the network’s unique selling points within Colombia's diverse mobile market.
