About Net 1

Netett Sverige AB, operating as Net 1, is a Swedish mobile network provider holding the Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 3 and operating under the Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 240, which identifies Sweden within the global mobile network landscape. Net 1 distinguishes itself from the larger Swedish operators like Telia, Tele2, and Telenor by focusing primarily on providing 4G LTE services across wider geographical areas, particularly in rural and sparsely populated regions of Sweden. This targeted approach contrasts with the dense urban coverage often prioritised by other networks. This makes it a viable option for people who spend a large amount of their time outside of the major cities. While major players often focus on urban areas, Net 1 has built a network designed to cover areas where traditional mobile signals are weak or non-existent. This is achieved using a network with lower frequency bands, enabling a wider reach with fewer cell towers. For example, Net 1's network is valued by those in rural Norrland or those who live on one of the various islands around Stockholm, Gotland and the West coast. Though Net 1 may not have the same market share or extensive service offerings as the larger networks, its specialising in niche geographical areas makes the network a key player in connecting rural Sweden.
