About Skylink

Khabarovsky Cellular Phone Skylink, operating in the Russian Federation (Europe), is identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 250, which designates Russia, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 09. Understanding these codes is crucial for identifying mobile networks internationally, and Skylink's presence within the Russian telecommunications landscape highlights its role in providing connectivity. While GSM networks are more prevalent, especially with major players like MTS, MegaFon and Beeline dominating the market, Khabarovsky Cellular Phone Skylink carved a niche, particularly focused on specialized services often utilizing CDMA technologies. Despite the rise of widespread GSM and later LTE/5G networks dominating larger operators in Russia, Skylink historically addressed specific needs, potentially in areas where GSM coverage was less robust or where specialized communication solutions were required. Its presence, though not as ubiquitous as the "big three," reflects the diverse mobile network ecosystem within the Russian Federation. While details regarding current operational status and service offerings may require further investigation, the MCC/MNC combination 250 09 remains a key identifier for this network within global mobile network databases.
