Intertelecom LLC, operating under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 255 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 23, was a CDMA mobile network operator based in Ukraine, Europe. It was one of the significant players in the Ukrainian telecommunications landscape, notably for offering CDMA technology when GSM networks were more prevalent. Intertelecom aimed to provide wide coverage, particularly in rural areas which, when it launched, were underserved by other Ukrainian GSM providers like Kyivstar and Vodafone Ukraine. The company focused on offering affordable data and voice services utilising CDMA2000 1xEV-DO technology, appealing to a segment of the market seeking cost-effective mobile solutions. While Intertelecom did offer compelling data packages, its reliance on CDMA distinguished it from the broader shift towards GSM and later, LTE technologies adopted by its competitors. As 3G and 4G networks became the standard in Ukraine, Intertelecom faced challenges adapting its infrastructure. Despite this, Intertelecom played a part in expanding mobile communications accessibility in Ukraine, contributing to the nation's overall connectivity landscape, until its eventual cease of service provision.
