Sprint Corporation, formerly a major player in the United States' mobile network landscape, operated extensively throughout North America and the Caribbean. Identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 311 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 490, Sprint delivered a range of telecommunications services, primarily focusing on wireless communication. At the time, Sprint was known for pushing forward with innovative technologies, such as early 4G LTE deployments, challenging industry giants like Verizon and AT&T in a highly competitive mobile market. They particularly built their business user-base along with their consumer base, providing enhanced business communication. Sprint's history reflects significant shifts in the US telecommunications landscape. While operating their 4G network, identified via MCC 311 and MNC 490, a merger with T-Mobile US was completed in 2020. This integration effectively dissolved Sprint as a separate entity, with its network infrastructure being gradually absorbed into T-Mobile's. Legacy Sprint customers have been migrated to the T-Mobile network, marking the end of an era for a company that significantly contributed to the evolution of mobile communication in the United States. Looking back to the early days of Telecommunications, Sprint were involved in long distance communications, through to local communications through their acquisition of local telecoms.
