Loop Mobile, formerly known as BPL Mobile, was a mobile network operator in Mumbai, India, operating under the MCC (Mobile Country Code) 404 for India, and the MNC (Mobile Network Code) 21, which uniquely identified their network within the country. Predominantly serving the Mumbai metropolitan area, Loop Mobile carved out a niche for itself in a competitive market dominated by larger national players like Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea. BPL Group originally owned the business. Focusing primarily on pre-paid GSM services, Loop Mobile aimed to provide affordable mobile communication solutions. Unlike some of its competitors who were rapidly expanding their 3G and later 4G LTE coverage, Loop Mobile strategically concentrated on maintaining and optimizing their existing 2G network within Mumbai to offer reliable service for voice calls and basic data usage. The operator ceased operations in 2014 after failing to have their license renewed and was eventually acquired by Bharti Airtel.
