CAT Telecom, a telecommunications company owned by the Thai government, formerly operated a mobile network in Thailand under the brand "my by CAT." Using Mobile Country Code (MCC) 520, which identifies Thailand, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 00, my by CAT leveraged a unique position within the Thai mobile market. Although CAT Telecom doesn’t directly run the network anymore, as it has been superseded by TrueMove H, its influence remains notable in the landscape of Thailand's telecommunications history, once offering competitive data plans and striving to bridge the digital divide, especially in rural areas where other major mobile operators like AIS and dtac might have faced infrastructure challenges. Following regulatory changes and market consolidation, CAT Telecom strategically partnered with TrueMove H. Effectively the infrastructure is provided by TrueMove H, another significant player in the Thai mobile market. As such, it's crucial to understand that while "my by CAT" may still be recognised by some, the underlying network is maintained and improved by TrueMove H, and any connections will now use the TrueMove network. This transition reflects the evolving dynamics of Thailand's telecommunications sector and the ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive mobile coverage to its population.
