Interdnestrcom IDC, often referred to simply as IDC, is the primary mobile network operator in Transnistria, a region internationally recognized as part of Moldova, despite operating with its own government and infrastructure. Operating with the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 255, which identifies Moldova, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 00, IDC provides crucial telecommunications services to the region's inhabitants. While geographically located in Europe, Transnistria's unique political status means IDC functions somewhat independently of mainstream Moldovan networks like Orange Moldova or Moldcell. IDC offers a range of mobile services, including voice, text messaging, and data, leveraging GSM, UMTS, and more recently, LTE technologies. As the main telecoms provider in Transnistria, IDC plays a critical role in connecting the region within itself, and to the outside world.. Because Transnistria operates largely independently, understanding network nuances like the MCC and MNC is incredibly important in helping people to understand the service boundaries.
