Kerala Jio, operating in India within the Asia & Middle East region, represents a significant mobile network presence. Designated with the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 405 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 862, it is part of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, one of India's largest mobile network operators. Jio disrupted the Indian telecommunications market with its launch, offering competitive data plans and widespread 4G LTE coverage, particularly impacting regions like Kerala. Its arrival forced other major players like Airtel and Vodafone Idea to adjust their offerings to remain competitive. Jio's expansion into Kerala, a state known for its high literacy and tech-savviness in South West India, has been met with considerable adoption. Users can readily identify their network via the MCC and MNC codes when configuring devices and troubleshooting connectivity issues which has increased awareness of these codes in the general population. While Jio primarily leans on 4G, it is also actively rolling out 5G services. The network is also used for IOT or machine to machine applications, using the unique 405 and 865 identification codes in low power IOT devices.
